Hello

This is for getting a new Thai license for example if you

have been using an International Permit. It may be

different if you already have a Thai license and it

is expiring.

You go to the Department of Land Transport.

It opens at 8:00AM and there is a long line.

But, if you are a foreigner then there is a much

shorter line inside to make an appointment.

This is at bldg 4.

You must make an appointment and they are

about 9 weeks out. That is when you do the

training and testing

The paperwork you need is copy of passport

picture page and Visa or extension page.

Health certificate you can get at a hospital.

That cost 200 Baht and the doctor asks about

4 or 5 questions pretty easy.

Also, need a certificate of residence. That cost

about 500B at the Immigration Office.

And a copy of your current license.

If you need to make any copies you can do it

there. It is outside of Bldg 3. 2 B per copy.

I was using this website

https://thethaiger.com/other-services/d … g-license/

But, about half the info is wrong or out of date.

If anyone knows an easier way please tell me.

I will update this after I do the testing and training
