Try to find out which compounds do coffee mornings or similar events where visitors can go, and then find somebody to invite you. Posting here is a start.

If u are IT professional, lot of ideas to do some e-comm activities that keep u busy, btw having 9 months old baby is a full time job by itself .

Wherever you go for work or shopping there will be noticeboards about things for sale, wanted etc. Check out all you can find, and with a little luck there should be some notes about things like coffee mornings (one place we lived with a Dutch background call it a 'Kaffee Klatch' or some such), sewing circles, craft classes etc. Al Yamama used to run, Al Hamra, many compounds. When Seder was Ballast-Needham they ran lots of great events - music nights like The Proms, fetes etc. Once you find a notice, get a phone no, see if their bus can pick you up, or if your place can do a bus, or failing those get a taxi. As long as they have a name, and an Iqama no you should be able to get in.

wahahaha amazing millenium babies. Not anymore busy with their milk but busy with fb and searching for new friends! WTH! babies of modern age are unbelievable!
I remember one clip in youtube, i guess the title is marry you. The little girl keeps telling to the little boy that she will marry the little boy. Whenever the little girl asked if she will marry the boy, she will say yes! while the boy says no. And then they will keep saying Yes No yes no until the boy cries while the little girl keeps saying yes yes yes. Its freaking funny! You guys shud check it out. Imagine at their age, they are aware about it! Hahaha

hey sarah, totally the same situation, just that mine he is 2 years old, with tooooooooooooooo much energy, i understand u so much... look, for example the guys here write u to u go to activities or compund mornin cafe or something... anyways,,, how can i go if i can't drive?? who ll take me there? my hubby works so NO CAR during all the day! I think this is ur same situation so what we have is that we r tied!!! i anna go to the compounds to some activities for babies, bt in what car? im not going to go under the "sweety" sun from here to wait hours and hours for a )&^%$#@! taxi! no way, plus they r so expensive! so i understand u, really girl... Im in the same same same situation.. :S pfff

*hug* it's sad!! plus i wouldn't want to go alone :( i hope the weather gets better soon then we can do more stuff. i love my little girl but have them trapped at home all the time just drives both of us crazy. and there are times where you just need a break cos they're a 100% dependant on u:( just a tinyyyyyy break, or even to see them happy or getting along is enough. my little one has the worst case of separation anxiety and i don't know what to do with her!!

Can you not find any baby & toddler groups in your area? Get enroled in one of these 3 days a week and you'll find that your baby will be learning new things and you'll be meeting new friends.

If you sit in your home feeling sorry for yourself things wont change. You need to force yourself to find things to join and go do them.

Good luck and be positive. :D

i'll ask around for drivers for you if you want there are those private cars that you pay per ride or month, they're safer than taxis.

yeah that's the thing i can't find any children activities for babies her age and i don't want to leave her in a nersury just yet i think she's a little too young and i also didn't find one that temted me to leave her there!! so i don't know yet.

yeah the cartoons are the worsttttttttttttt :'( haha the things we do for our little ones :p

sarah.r

i'll ask around and send you the numbers as a pm :D i think u can have an arrainge for these drives and pay them on a monthly bases as well.
the problem is jihan i need her to interact with other babies and other ppl! she has a really bad case of stranger anxity :(

Mostafa2amar

Well, why don't you go out together, or over to someone's house? I'd be happy to spend some time with the two of you :)
