Hi

Does anyone know the best fixings to buy.

To use with hollow block.

@lyndonjohnstone44 For hanging picture frames I use plastic screw anchors and screws commonly referred to as "tox" in the Philippines. You can also use small concrete nails similar to the nails that come with small (1/2") conduit clamps.

Hanging shelves would require something a little stronger like metal expansion bolts or lag screws/bolts. In either case you would need the proper sized masonry drill bit for the bolts and screws. You would only need a hammer for the ribbed concrete nails.

This is what you need for hollow walls . I prefer toggles as they are easy to use, strong, and cause minimal damage to the wall.

I suggest wandering around with the picture and asking in likely shops.

I've used toggles on plasterboard walls and ceilings without issue.

Almost everything here is solid concrete walls, even the condos.
