dear expats,

i would like to ask few questions:

  1. if i have work visa to Saudi, and visa was sent to Manamah embassy, after getting it stamped, do i have to travel from Bahrain or i can go to my home country and come back from there to Saudi.
  2. if my bahrain visa is cancelled, but i have a car, i must transfer it to someone before travelling? Or there is option to keep Bahraini number plate and drive it to and fro with later visit visa to Bahrain? Can i take car to saudi since its more than 5 years old?
  3. if i want to keep family in Bahrain and work in Saudi, how to get resident permit for Bahrain? I have cpr but RP is expiring soon..

your valuable guidance or experience may help me.

regards

You should have posted this on the Bahrain forums as most questions relate to that.

1) You can come from anywhere to Saudi once visa has been stamped

2) You have to sell the car as without a resident visa / CPR, you will not be able to renew registration or get insurance etc.  As far as I know, cars older than 5 years cannot be imported into Saudi

3) Go browse the stickies in Bahrain forum, all options explained in detail.  But to keep it simple, you can either set up a company and use it to sponsor visas for self & family or buy a property above 50K BHD for a 10 year self sponsorship visa.  The last option, which i won't recommend, is a paper CPR......the reasons again, have been covered in the Bahrain forums
