Passport with employer

Hi all.. I had an ongoing case in public prosecution and my company was advised to keep me as it has nothing to do with my company. But company chose to let me go. One day they called me to the hr office, handed me a blank paper telling me to write my resignation letter. so i did.

I asked them about my passport back, and i was told i can only get my passport back once new sponsor applied my visa.

Now my new sponsor applied my visa and it is showing Employment visa is in progress.

I have asked them if i can take my passport now as new sponsor already applied my visa but no response.

I have applied to another country and they needed a copy of all pages of my passport and recent employment certificate.  I again asked the hr if i can get my passport back and it seems they only want to give me back once the status is green. I asked them to atleast send me a scan copy of pages of my passport and employment certificate but still no reply.

I am frustrated as i have to beg for my own property.

Please advise me what to do. Thank you
