Garage roll up door in Philippines

Where can I even get one. Someone told me to import it because they are expensive. Well, I can't even find anyplace here that I can buy from. Also the garage door opener would need to be 220V. In the US, they will not be metric measurements, so unlikely to fit a built house, would have to design around it. Anyone with any experience with ordering/installing a garage roll up door?

While I'm not sure where you live but here in La Union there are plenty of companies, the quality is not the same as I've had in Australia but the seem to work fine, we got 2 quotes and went with the cheapest as both companies had the same products, you can't get color bond only galvalume or stainless steel from what I found.

They are coming back soon to measure up for a large S/S  remote control like the other roller doors. it will face the ocean.

Let me know if you want contact details and costs in a P/M, alternatively go on FB as that's where Ben located many companies in our area.

Cheers, Steve.

@bigpearl curious what type you went with?  Mine faces away from the beach, but we get alot of breeze and salt water blowing on the house... galvanized?  Or stainless?  What did it cost if you don't mind?

@Filamretire I see garage doors and 220v openers on Lazada. They will not deliver the doors in my area but maybe you are in a delivery area.

The link for the opener didn't work but it is listed on Lazada "VEVOR Electric Automatic Garage Door Opener Motor Electric Retractable Operator & Remotes 1000N Home Tool"

Hi Wellsfry,

I think they call it galvalume here but to me it's what we call zincalume in Australia, any way like you our garage roller doors face away from the ocean at about 80 metres. what I have noticed big time here is anything metal including A/C units rust quickly on the ocean side but not on the rear of the house for some reason and will probably only have a 5/6 year life span, time will tell.

So 1 remote controlled door, opening size 2.6M wide, 2.1 high P 55k and one manual the same size P 24K supplied and installed. From memory if we went for S/S it was around P 60k more.

They are coming back by the end of this month to tweak the 2 doors and measure up for a large remote S/S door 5 M wide and 2.4 high for the lounge room full glass window as it gets the west sun and is ocean side, I'm expecting 120K for that fingers crossed.

It's interesting as I had a S/S Designer roller entry gate (wheels and track built 5 metres wide and 2.4 high with a personal access door built in and matching the panels, you can't see it except for the deadlock, another matching door for the pump house near the gate 1 M x 2M high, polished frames and satin finished panels. Supply and install was only 80K I supplied the motor and drive gears which they installed but we installed the motor and wiring. In Oz that would have been 20? 30? Aussie dollars not the AU 2,200 equivalent bucks here.

We have had 8 to 12 guys working here 6 days a week, we pay them over what they would normally get for 8 months,,,, only 4 to go I hope. Labour and materials to date is, Ben tells me 3M. to date. Mostly things hear are reasonably priced, steel rebar and cement are the killers. And If I wasn't here managing, only God would know the blow outs.

Cheers, Steve,

@Allyson Lee

Hi and welcome to the forum.

We had roller doors installed here and not sectional doors, there are many companies in La Union that do made to measure roller doors but for sectional I only fount them in Manila and yes imported to order and super expensive. What part of La Union are you from?

Use google my best friend as well as a FB search, amazing what shows up there. Good Luck.

Cheers, Steve.
