Employee Registration in Bulgaria

My boss did not select LNC instead of EGN when he payrolled me.  Tell your boss it is easy to fix. LNC is the tax id.

I'm a UK citizen here, I have an EU style id card, which I received before the Brexit deadline.  I'd never registered my number for tax, as I had no need, but now we have an Airbnb and need to pay tax.  We approached our local accountant and she said to us we need to register with the tax office, despite our personal numbers (my wife's and mine) also being the tax numbers.  I see it like this...  Your personal id number doesn't become your tax number until you register.

We're also going to start a company through our accountant.

He gave the number a local payroll company. So do you think they just thought they got EGN number (as far as I know this number is for bulgarians right?) instead of an LNC number?

So did you never have to go to the NRA office?

My employer (a local school) said that I had to "activate" my number at the social security office. I popped down and filled out a short form, and it was done.

Maybe he mean bulstat statistic
