How to locate person in the Dominican Republic?

Post new topic

flip3

Hi,

I have the name of a person located in the Dominican Republic whom I need to contact but I do not have any contact details.

Does anyone know how to locate a person with the name only?

Thank you,

Philip

Hello flip3,

Welcome to Expat. com 1f601.svg

Sharing the name of a person on a public forum without their permission is not advisable. Unless you use the private messaging system, it is best to refrain from disclosing such information.

Are there any other details or information pertaining to that individual that can be shared instead?

Cheers,

Welcome to the forums.

This may be difficult, depending on the name.

Unfortunately many Dominican names are common so your task could be difficult. I will message you privately for more info.

Hello Cheryl / Planner,

I don't want to post the name publicly. I was just wondering if there is something like a public directory by the government which allows to locate a person?

Thanks,

Philip

I don't think there is.

maybe You could try the consulate from which country the person comes from if the the person your looking for is a foreigner …. I know every time I fly in and fill out the visa form they ask me where I going to stay…. But I’m sure it would have be a very special circumstance for them to get involved

Well, it seems to be difficult. I will try ;-)

@flip3 If it's a local citizen or legal resident (meaning they have a cedula) then you can hire a private detective maybe to find them.  Of course just because they have a legal address listed doesn't mean they are living there. But, no, there is no free government location office. If you have the telephone, that's another way, but again via a PI.
