Should I hire a criminal lawer in following case?

Assalaam alaikum sir'

My name is Adam Iqbal from  India, here I am working in Riyadh. My friend whose name is Atiqur-rahman has been arrested by police on the complaint of a lady co worker. What was the charges I don't know but, next day she has withdrawn the case. Despite of withdrawal the case he has been kept 5 days in police station & then sent to Jail/Tahreel. From last more than one week he is in the tahreel but we don't know what exactly going on. Today he called me from jail & said that he will be kept 35 days in tahreel then his hearing will be in court. He is confused & concerned that case has already finished then why he ll be sending to the court for hearing. None of his family members are here. I was searching out in the Google for legal advice so, I got this number. It was written in the website that free legal advice facility is available. Please help sir. Thank you.
