I hold a D7 residence permit, and I am beginning the emigration process from Portugal to another European Union country with the intention of permanent relocation. I would like to know in detail what the correct legal process for emigration entails.

I’ve come across information regarding the need to inform SEF (Immigration and Borders Service) and AT (Tax and Customs Authority). However, I haven’t found specific details on how the process will unfold.

Do you know what are the legal obligations for emigrating permanently from Portugal?

Thank you very much!
