This in-person Portuguese test/certificate complies with the Naturalization Procedures Ordinance No. 623/2020 of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, which mandates that at least one in-person test be administered for Portuguese language courses that are taken through distance learning.

The IFSP provides successful applicants with a declaration of approval in the face-to-face Portuguese Language test for Foreigners, notifying them that they achieved a satisfactory performance in the assessment and thereby proving their ability to communicate in Portuguese both orally and in writing.

The certificate is without charge and is delivered digitally to the approved participants' email addresses. Upon the participant's request, the IFSP may also issue a declaration of attendance for the in-person evaluation.
