Covid vaccine requirements to get the Work Pass

Post new topic

godfreyda8

Hi everyone!

I was recently offered a job in Singapore, but when I checked the requirements to get the work pass, I saw on the MOM's website that it is mandatory to be fully vaccinated against the Covid in order to get the pass.

The problem is, I am not vaccinated against the Covid nor I wish to be (for personal reasons): does that mean that I have to renounce to this job?

I called the local consulate, and they told me that even if in theory the law is that, in practice it is not enforced anymore, so in their experience many non-vaccinated people proceeded to make the Work Pass and had no problems once they were at Singapore. Can you confirm that?

It is not a good idea, with regards to Singapore and its hyper-efficient authorities, to reply on a rule not to be enforced!

Fact is that, under current rules, non-vaccinated foreigners cannot enter the country and work here. So you should probably look for other options (or countries).

Sorry if this is not the answer you were hoping for!

just try to complete vacation in your home country before coming here , 2 doses are enough for eligibilty to work here.
