Timeframe from getting visa to going to Portugal d7

Hi all,

Does anyone know if you can travel to Portugal at the end of the 120 day visa period? I have just received my visa. I have a 3 month notice period for work but don’t want it be frowned upon that I moved at the end of the 4 month period. A sef appointment wasn’t given when I collected my visa. I will still try to ring to get a sef appointment and if I do, I’ll go to Portugal for the appointment, then come back to finish my notice period.

Thank you

Hi, where are you from Emiy? Three months notice period is no where in the world? or does it exist? Thanks

Hi Emily523t,

You have to meet the visa period. Check if your visa doesn't have a link to AIMA (former SEF) website.

Hi Johnny,

Thanks for your response,

I was not given an appointment with SEF when i collected my visa and was told to ring SEF to get an appointment.

The lady didnt seem happy that I was waiting a few months before I arrive in Portugal.

Do you mean to contact AIMA and ask them if my visa is linked to an appointment?

Thank you

JohnnyPT

That's it.
