Take care. Heal quickly and thank you for all that you do! Dr. Aponte and a pain pump it is! I hope you can move past this and be pain free!

Take time and heal! Glad you are recovering! Thank you for all that you do.

Thanks!!!!  I appreciate the thoughts.

Big shout out to my physio therapy company!  I will post contacts later but they have locations in Santo Domingo, Santiago and Puerto Plata and they come to ME!  I still can't drive so this is a huge blessing!

Another piece of advice - ask for physio before surgery.  Surgeons and orthos often don't order this in advance.   One of my clients has avoided surgery with physio. For me it would have helped my recovery but not avoided surgery, ripped rotator cuff, ouch!

You are very kind with all ypu do within this group. when (not if) dinner and drinks on me! Feel better

@planner, Thanks for the update, hope you feel better soon.

I'm also planning ortho surgery in the next month or so, waiting to hear back from my surgeon with the actual date.  I'm having my right knee replaced, the left knee was done 10 years ago.  I had planned a move to Las Terrenas in May, however best case would be having the surgery in the next few weeks (provided there's a cancelation), recovery and Physical Therapy, 6 weeks, then the rigors of packing and moving things.

Are you aware of any Physical Therapist in the Las Terrenas area specializing in knee or joint therapy?

planner

Thanks for your nice comments.  I don't know any in las Terrenas but will ask my physio lady!

As long as the Blender 🍸is working you’ll get through this and im sure you haven't miss a step💃…  good luck remember less is more now

planner

Thanks for this.  Sadly I can't mix meds with alcohol

However I can forego a med for a good blender drink!

Yes, sometimes those blender drinks work better than pain meds. 1f602.svg1f602.svg

@dwightjackson53 As of last May, there were no physios in LT. I was going to have to go to Nagua (400 DOP toll and 45-minute each way), Samana (hour+ drive each way), or Sanchez (30-minute white-knuckle drive on a very scary road!). We have a new guy in town from somewhere in Europe who says he's a certified physio. I didn't pay too much attention when I saw his post on Facebook, but did make a mental note to go back and check him out.

planner

Wow none in that area!  Hope this guy is for real!
