Re: your friend in his dream house - is he aiming to become the new Hugh Hefner?  I believe that original Hugh started with a nice house, young bananas, and publication too.

I think my friend has no aspirations at this point. Except to finish his book. He has a nice house in Bahia. He has no money problems. He has a beautiful girlfriend. And a puppy that appears to be trainable.

quality thread here 10/10.

I have blue eyes, I stand out like a sore thumb, vira lata syndrome in brazil is persistant, was flattering at first but just gets annoying when im out with my wife and they ignore her existance.

when we go out shopping it annoys people because i tell them my wife is the one with the money lmao.

I feel your pain but at least my wife sees whats going on in canada, even her family is in a non approval state of going to canada lmao - that on its own is forever refreshing lol

Same here.  Ladies of a certain age will frequently whisper to my husband, "Your father is so handsome!" when they think I can't hear.  We always have a good laugh about it, but not in front of my "admirers", of course.

@abthree

Yeah, wife gets super super annoyed with it lol.

however in her innocence, the harshest thing she said was im not going to wish them merry christmas hahahaha

I told a friend about my recent experience.

His response:

“She asked you to take out a bank loan for R$40.000?”

“Aren’t you too old and too poor to get a bank loan?”

alan279

I’ve asked my attorney for a refund on her consultation fee for a marriage license.

I didn't need a lawyer to jump into the abyss. And she did nothing.

Attorneys never refund client payments no matter how egregiously they fail their clients.

I'm waiting for her response. I'm hoping she's creative, but I suspect that I'm overly optimistic.

@alan279 Count your blessings, you got off relatively cheap.

gmg888brl

Consider the hurricane a divine wind. You got off relatively cheap.

Okay, I asked for a receipt from the lady lawyer again. I received two voice mails, then a receipt that I rejected. I told her that she didn’t perform as per my requests, then I suggested that she was incompetent. Oh, the howls of the baiana! Shes going to have me arrested! Libel!

Calma, menina.

I sent my former love R$100 to buy some new sandals. She reported me to the women’s police. I have to appear on April 18 or go to prison, according to some Brazilian bureaucrat on WhatsApp?

Three hots and a cot? For giving a woman twenty bucks?

abthree

01/24/24 @alan279  Why do you keep contacting these women who wish you no good?  Please stop hitting yourself in the head with a hammer.  You'll be amazed at how good it feels.

alan279

You’re right, AB3. Putting down the hammer.

Thanks.
