Temporary residency

Hello fellow forum members,

I hope somebody on this forum will be able to advise on the below.

So, I have received TR and my Cedula last May and then left Paraguay 2 days later. The thing is I left using my passport as I just assumed I need both entry and exit stamp.

Then a friend of mine told me I should have left using my new Paraguayan Cedula rather than my passport.

I will be coming to Paraguay in April as I need to be there at least one day per year to keep my temporary residency and was wondering if this could potentially cause any problems when entering the country and in the future when applying for permanent residency?

I think you should be OK with what you have. I came over to visit the UK recently, showed customs both and was told that they wouldn't be stamping the passport as the cedula was all they really wanted to see, then simply used passport when entering the UK.

Thanks!

The thing is I didn't even tell them I have a Cedula, I only showed them my passport..

But hopefully it will be ok as long as I can show them the stamp.

Don't worry Adam, it's fine that you had your passport stamped. It could eliminate any confusion in the future, if anyone asks for proof of where you were. I have PR in Paraguay and used my cedula and passport when leaving Paraguay a couple months ago. Just use your cedula upon arrival this time.
