Hi everyone

My wife is Portuguese and we are living in Porto already 2 years, until now we couldn't made it to get appointment to SEf because was no appointments and everytime Thay extended our staying visa.

I think with A.I.M.A it's supposed to be easier

But...I have a problem because I have to fly for work

My question is...if I can go out from Portugal without problems when I will come back?

Our marriage is registered in Portugal but I don't know if it's enough ?

Hi ,

I am in the same situation  as you are.

I am waiting for my AIMA appointment too.

Mean time , Lagoa  Camara Municipal , Local Support Centre made the document that i am waiting for an appointment at AIMA since January 2023 .

I was able to travel without any problem when i show the document at the passport control.

Hope this will help.

@mijoung Hi, I just came across your post and I am in the exact same situation. My wife is portuguese and I am from India . Our marriage has been registered in Portugal.

I can enter Portugal on a Scehegen Visa but as there are no appointments from AIMA , I would have to over stay.

Can you please advise, how I could get the document you mentioned from my  camara which is Viseu.

I would be forever grateful if i could connect with you to undersatnd the process . Looking forward to your reply
