Hello, we are planning to move to portugal with the next year and a half. We are looking for A company to help us with residency,visas, paperwork, and finding a place to live. Any recommendations?

what kind of place to live?

i have lived almost everywhere in portugal.

north and away from porto remains my preference as someone who enjoys nature.

any mountains on south will also be fine for me.

sorry i can't recommend any company around paperwork, but i do find it extremely better to do it also away from big cities.

also keep in mind portugal has extremely relaxed police (compared with rest of europe) when it comes to law enforcement. if you have the right and simply apply for papers, it may take a long time on limbo, but that will not cause you any problem. most clerks will also be very helpful, when you get past the huge lines. if you get unlucky and find one who does not help, get a new one.

do try looking at vila real (still my current "home" town) as it offers a good balance for all this and has a lot of expats.

and feel free to call me or reach out on telegram if you want to talk over voice as i prefer.

@onekanalife,

You can do it all by yourself. You have experience sharing visas from the US to Portugal here:

There's also a large community of expats here on the forum who can help you choose, but it's also up to you to detail what you're looking for.  Once you've got some ideas, take a week-long trip to various places and hire a car. It's better than a company that takes your money and directs you to places where there are more expats...

There are a number of companies whom are experts at what you are asking about. I used Relocate to Portugal as I chose Porto. RTP (this company) has expertise in everything and took care of all of it for me (and a lot of ex-pats I have met here)
