Hello,
My name is Luke. I am an Australian English teacher (English grad but have 6 months left of teaching) and I have come over to this rainy part of the world to live. I love it here and I love the Danes... Only problem is that I have had no luck finding a job. I have applied for a fair bit but have had no response. I really do not mind if it is not my profession I just need funds to ensure that I can stay in this green part of the world. If any one could point me in the right direction I would be sure to have a beer with them and tell them some really bad stories of my travels and how I ended up here. Oh, and yes one of the main walls I keep hitting is that my Danish is quite poor. I am trying to learn it now but I have so a hard time pronouncing things :( All the Danes laugh at me :) If my age matter I am twenty five.
Thank you for reading this and I am hoping for some luck.

Luke.

unless you're looking to work as a server/bartender in an aussie or english pub, i'm afraid you may be looking for a long time. it took me a year to find a job in denmark, hitting the same walls as you. sorry, just being realistic. ):

Yeah mate; it really does get you a bit down. Sometimes I want to go home because it is so much easier; men jeg vil.... huh no word for it in Danish... persevere.

Happy to hear that you got a job eventually. :)
