car accident saudi

Hi all,

About a month and a half ago, a driver ran a stop sign and hit my car on a compound. The accident was dealt with Muroor, and I was at 0% fault. I hired a tow truck to take my car to the Muroor station and then to the Taqdeer garage. Since I was unable to drive my car, I also hired a car. I got the damaged report from Taqdeer with the estimated costs to repair the car, and found a garage to repair my car.

I filed a claim with the other person's insurance, and the process went frustratingly slow. There was no communication, and after several emails and calls for status updates, my claim was finally processed. To my shock, they only partially paid the claim. They paid me significantly less than the estimated costs from the Taqdeer report, and the amount does not include the tow truck or the car rental. Since the accident wasn't my fault, it's annoying that I have to pay anything out of pocket, but I can live with paying the car rental myself. However, the person's car insurance company should pay the full amount from the Taqdeer report and pay the tow truck, correct? I could also make a claim through my insurance since I have comprehensive, but since I am at 0% fault they told me to go through the person's insurance company.

Does anyone have any suggestions about my next steps or has faced a similar experience? I have complained again to the person's insurance, but if they deny the rest of the money from the claim, I am not sure what my options would be.

Thanks in advance!
