Can my spouse come on my student visa?

Post new topic

Bonjour!

Can anyone clarify a visa question for me? I'm applying to a French Montessori (AMI affiliated) teacher training center. Assuming they accept me, I'm going to apply for a student visa. Can my spouse qualify to come to France with me?

Also, other than the letter of acceptance from the training program, is there any other documentation I'll need for my visa application, such as proof of savings/rental income to support ourselves while I'm studying and my spouse isn't allowed to work?

Thanks so much for any insight you can provide.

Hello Clementine,

You will need to show proof of sufficient funds (bank account), proof of accommodation and insurance for your visa to be approved.

I suggest that you contact the french embassy in your country.

Most students ask their visa through Campus France, I don't know if it is applicable in your case. The embassy can shed the light on this and if your spouse can be your dependent (visa).
