Hello all ! Need some help writing my CV.
I'm a Pharmaceutical Chemistry graduate. Given the limited scope of jobs available here in Kuwait, I want to improve my CV so that i can try for other jobs too.

Please advice !

Thanks. :)

hmm i tooo had the problem of making the CV,

then i ended up with writing a cover letter first and then the bio data.

cover letter is like a formal letter to the employer in which you mention which post you are applying for or applying so that if there is any available position that may match your criteria.

you can tell why you chose the company or that organisation in which you are applying.and describing it with persuasion and respect.

take what u can from ur life experience and frame it in a way that seems "formal",

example: i ordered comics online, once i received an order missing an issue i had requested, i sent an email to the ppl, and they sent me the missing issue.

i wrote that in my CV as follows, under skills:
ran physical verification of inventory against packing list to find lacking items, contacted supplier and verified missing items, requesting reshipment.

and there u go, its all about the lingo :) and creativity

first off, u need to think what kind of job are u looking for, what fields can u play etc. then tailor ur CV towards that, like ace said, with a nifty cover letter

Rose,

Another suggestion, There are lots of firms, (online as well), that for a minimal fee will do/write your CV, and since that is their expertise they are very proficient at writing CV.

There is an actual way to write a CV, usually it is a project based or industry based.

Since your a fresh grad I suggest you concentrate on our profile that should include some specifics about which area of your study/line of work you want to get into...e.g. manufacturing of pharma, consulting for pharma, bio lab...

If you have any work experience related to your BA then highlight that as well as good references that the potential employer may refer back to for information about you...

I have a good friend who is in the same line of study and I remember her saying that it’s the Company and type of work which is most difficult to decide on...once this is decided, writing the CV becomes easier...

Hope this helps, :)
