Domestic violence and restriction of freedom in marriage.

I have a friend that got married by force recently.
Her father received a huge sum of mehr and he forced her to marry her without her permission.

The father has 2 wives and has violent criminal past.
My friend claims that she was threatened with death if she didn’t marry that person.

As of now, my friend is residing in the new home. They have allegedly taken away her phone and cannot leave the house. She feels depressed and is not able to continue the marriage anymore. She also fears that if she doesn't continue the marriage, this violent father will harm her mother and her family members. And since her father took all the mehr, she cannot pay it back. How can this treatment be possible in 21st century?

Please, I need a urgent advice on this situation. And how can she escape the marriage?

Contact the authorities asap and reach out to her Embassy. Seek legal help and contcat NGOs, prepare for her a safety and escape plan then after this incident, make sure she get the mental help support she desperately need after such traumatic experience. I'm extremely sorry to hear this. Please be careful and stay safe, wishing you all the best.
