Many topics to mention on the forum but they are not

I must say I am a bit disappointed on the forum, so many topics out there (not per se political (a bit from time to time))

Some examples

-Increase of prices for electricity and water (which are understandable and fine for me, but difficult for many) (Big impact on Aidat as well)

-The clamp down on YouTube channels (tax controls)

-Renting out (very strong clamp down) as a side note I only support that

-The going against all-inclusive hotels (I also support)

-Issues with your banks in home-country (being an expat in Turkey)

-Turkey wants to be friendly with EU and BRICS, and at the same time wants to be strong in Africa

-Healthcare (and I do not mean Botox)

-Requirements for Ikamet (I saw a report a couple had to leave because they could not prove of Income EUR 850 pm each whilst owning a property)

-Increasing crime, I noticed over the last few years

-Speaking the language (in my view not too important if you live in a big (touristic) city). I lived in Hungary for 7 years and apart from good morning, good day, thank you, that is about it (never needed anything else apart from my English and German skills (Dutch is redundant). It all worked quite fine.

..... so many many interesting topics

Overall, I think the Turkish government tries with new rules (sometimes with success) but I am still happy here, life is becoming much more expensive, but for most expats it is not very important.
