What Turkey needs from expats?

I am a bit disappointed with posts complaining 100 EUR here and there. Syrian refugees would be happy to have even EUR 500 pm.

For expats from the UK/Germany/....

Turkey is getting more expensive (true), in a way that is also good.

Poor Germans (many YouTube post), complain and some go back collect social security, I feel sorry for their situationm but that the way it is.

So many Russians leaving (too expensive), but also pensioners from Western Europe.

Turkey does not need expats who spend almost nothing.

I am so sad to see that people consider Turkey as a poor country, wonderful country, good infrastructure (where we live), but locals do not love people who do not spend (but nowadays you have to pay).

Where do you think the money comes from when not even Western retirees can afford? From Santa in your cloud-cuckoo-land? I have lived 2 wonderful years in beautiful Turkiye recently together with my wife, but we made it off to another country, after inflation rose dramatically & bureaucrats went crazy.

Thinking about it with mixed feelings, sad about a wonderful country.
