My first experience with P/H and being admitted in my local private hospital.

2 nights and days in admission, private A/C room with own bathroom, T/V, wifi and 3 boring meals a day, brilliant attention from the nurses, no complaints.

5 doctors/specialists for 5 procedures including cat scan, x-rays, abdominal ultrasound, echo cardio ultrasound, Heart monitoring.

And a plethora of other charges as in laboratory, pharmacy, heart station etc.

All up total was P68,040 and after P/H the total payable was P48,280 so all up almost P20K off the bill, my P/H costs P17K a year so a 2 day stay I recouped my P/H costs and possibly more visits with the neurosurgeon in hospital for further tests and well as other stuff.

Cause? A minor stroke that caused me to pass out for a few minutes and I was very lucky to be with Ben and Shamar when it happened, they revived me but no obvious signs of a stroke. My doctor and neurosurgeon tell me it's a warning and I need a lifestyle change big time. Especially the cigarettes and alcohol.

Cheers, Steve.

Glad to hear you survived your health scare, sounds like you got good care at a very good price.  It gonna be a big effort for you to give up tobacco and alcohol, hopefully you will get plenty of help from friends and family.  Good luck!!!

BP...I remember you saying something about smoking like burning tyre. Might be a good time make a lifestyle change. Good to hear you are well.

bigpearl

Still alive yes Jackson and for sure self inflicted.

Cheers, Steve.

Glad to hear that you are okay. I remember seeing an interview with Alice Cooper once who woke up in hospital, spitting blood after a bender. he took up golf to pass the time and is an excellent player now. Perhaps you need a similar hobby to pass the time. Giving up the fags is not easy though but I think you need to at least try to cut down.

Thanks Cherry, ah what a legend Mr. Cooper is, grew up with his music and antics, many followed his lead as he was pretty unique.

Golf? Smack the sh1t out of a ball then go and find it? I tried that with my dad when he was alive once and told him sorry dad, not for me.

Cheers, Steve.

Golf was just an example. Fishing and tennis will be just as good. Smacking a golf ball hard gets rid of my frustration but then my game goes to crap so I get frustrated with my golf.

You're a born survivor BP. Did you watch the Carry On Matron movie while in hospital? Hilarious.

bigpearl

LOL, yes Lotus but some 30 years ago or more, the carry on movies gave lots of laughs. Perhaps like history of the world pt 1 or the last remake of Beau Geste,,,,, humour has changed over the years, hospitals not so.

Cheers, Steve.
