New UK passprt

You do it online, return your old passport, and your new one is couriered to you.  You have to sign for it. Try to avoid the summer holiday season, as it takes longer.

    Has anyone from the UK renewed their passport here in Bulgaria if so how did they or you do it?

For many years you have to apply online and you are unable to go to the Embassy. They are no longer printed in Germany. They are delt with in Liverpool. That said if your passport has expired or lost you can go to the Embassy and get an emergency travel document.

It's online, and it's pretty quick and easy (and far cheaper than making a trip back to the UK to do it).

They take all the info from your old passport, and you only have to give them some money, and upload a new digital photo. (They give you the photo specs, so it's possible to do it yourself.) Separately, you also have to courier your old passport back to them.

yes i did it last year, merely filled forms online for being overseas, paid the money included a photo and bingo done. They sent it by courier to my address simple.
