American/Mexican Living In Austria wanting to move to Spain

Hello everyone,

I am hoping to run into someone that might have been in a similar situation or has further information regarding visa procedures and any ease that my current stance could bring for such procedures.

For context: I was born in the United States, am up to date with my yearly taxes and hold a US passport. Equally, grew up in Mexico City and also hold a Mexican passport.

I have been working at an Austrian company for 3 years now. My first year of work was in the United States, for the second and third year the company sponsored a visa for me to live in Vienna. The experience in Vienna has been great, but unfortunately, my job is sales and the company I am currently working for did not develop the solution I sell enough for me to stay and live comfortably.

Another issue I have is that I don’t speak German and when the visa needs renewal I will have to pass a German test.

As an alternative to the non performing and toxic environment my current company offers, I am seeking for a new job in Spain.

My experience is in finance and more specifically financial technology sales. I know I have talent and this area in specific is not easy to break into so I am confident I can find a good job

The question: does any body have any experience with getting a visa in Spain and how stringent the requirements might be?

is it hard to find a company that will sponsor such a visa?

any help would be extremely welcome.

thank you!
