Hi everyone if someone has been living in Malta for 11 years and is English,applyed for the id card just before brexit but never heard back and forgot about it until now can they go to the id place and apply for it again? - @Michael tillott

You should have been in possession of a copy of your application. 11 years ago. Send your copy application to ID Malta again and ask when you can collect your ID card.

Of course it appears to be obvious your application is lost and you have to reapply again.Just make sure you have enough evidence you are in Malta ever since.

An English person who first starting living in Malta 11 years ago (so in 2013) would have at the time been an EU national.

It has always been the case that if an EU or EEA National intends to reside and/or work in Malta for longer than three months, they are required to register their residence with Identità. They will be issued with an eResidence document (commonly known as an ID card with a number ending with "A"), which based on their scope of residence in Malta.

The number on your original residence card that you applied for in 2013 would remain the same even when this is renewed, therefore I suggest you take your original card with you to check at the Identità offices.
