Mint Mobile e-Sim for USA Originated Text/SMS Messages

Has anyone had any experience with Mint Mobile from USA? I need quick Texts for Bank or Credit Card Authentication, which are time sensitive. They can send a digital e-Sim to my unlocked phone here in Cebu, with an average costs of $17/month with no additional fees if messages received via Globe Wi-Fi. Of Course, their Customer Service is with Call Center in Manila.

You are talking about the 2FA problem with US banks and cc while living overseas. I personally chose Google Fi for receiving 2FA SMS texts here and I pay about $20/month. The only thing I would verify if using Mint or T-Mobile is, do they have a maximum time period for which they will stay active overseas? With Google Fi, it looks like it is permanent so I have my e-sim installed in a dual sim phone and I set globe postpaid as my primary sim. If my bank or CC requires a 2FA by SMS text I can choose my Google fi number where texts from the US are free and all indications show that such international texts are a permanent feature, even if I live overseas. For data, google fi throttles you down after 60 days but I don't care as long as I can receive the texts. So again, with Mint it should work OK but I would make sure that their international texting while you live overseas is a permanent feature, not subject to some time limit after which you must return to the US. Also, in my case, Google Voice has always worked for my institutions but GV is unpaid; they could take it away ar any time so I went to Google Fi for a paid service I could be contracted with. I fully understand why you want to do the same.
