US Medicare and French Protection universelle maladie

Hi,

Wife and I are moving to Beziers this year and we have a question about what happens to our US Medicare when we sign up for French healthcare.

What are your suggestions as how to deal with the US Medicare ? Do most just keep paying into it and let it continue?

Or do most sign out of it to not have it deducted off Social Security?
