Entering Thailand with Prescribed Medication

Post new topic

Anyone entered Thailand recently from UK with prescription medication?Just wondered how many days of medication you’re allowed to take in. The Thai Embassy website says 30 days but apparently that info is out of date and the FDA of Thailand allow 90 days? No prohibited drugs in our medication so no permit required. I’ll get my wife to call the FDA of Thailand on Monday to clarify this but just thought I’d ask on the off chance somebody on here has experience of this. Thanks.

I've always taken as much as I needed for the duration, kept them in my hand luggage, gone through scanners and never had a problem.

I have always taken a repeat

prescription with me by the way, just in case anyone checks and finds.

No reason why they should stop you if it's prescribed.

Mine are beta blockers, blood pressure etc.

I kept them in hand luggage as I needed to take certain one's whilst travelling.

Like I said, never had a problem.

Thanks for that info. We’ll be going through Dubai Airport en route and they allow 3 months supply of prescription medication to be carried so I’m hoping that Thailand will be the same. Better safe than sorry I suppose.
