E.leclerc location

Hi all

has anyone tried to use the Leclerc location to hire a car? If so what information do they need to provide to them. I have seen other sites where there are contradictory messages about info required. Leclerc only have phone numbers at the locations and no emails - my French isn’t good enough to have the conversation and the local branch has no English speakers.

I have a house in France and an EU passport with a UK driving licence. Some others are saying that you also need an International Driving Permit - although legally that’s not required. Currently I live in the UK

if anyone has been through it please help.

Thanks

Pat

Hi Pat,

MY partner just rented one for a week with his US license (he is a dual citizen so I am not sure which passport he rented with) that said, be aware EACH LeClerc is independent so where you rent it, you must return it.....check it CAREFULLY prior to leaving---if it is dirty, make note of that---they gave us a car that was dirty and the floor mats had not been vacuumed---we returned it as we received it.....

best,c
