Hello, I found this forum by accident and I'm so glad. Many other forums dedicated to Bulgaria have posts only as recent as 2010! Plus, you seem to be quite responsive and helpful toward newbies and nice to each other. As a seasoned Bulgaria visitor and multiple property purchaser, I now need to link up with likeminded Bulgaria expats and devotees like yourself to enrich my experience and maybe help somebody out with questions. (I still questions of my own, believe me---I'm no expert on Bulgaria!) I've bought in the Veliko Tarnovo area but also love visiting Sofia, Sliven, Yambol and Burgas. Hopefully, this (upcoming) year I'll get over there more and stay longer than a week, if my work allows it. Here's to hoping!

I welcome any member replies especially from Veliko Tarnovo- based people. I've got an American accent but am quite well trammelled and love meeting all the world's inhabitants!

I have also just signed up, it is refreshing to see nice threads, and posts, and not to recieve the rubbish like you do on other forums.
I live in Popovo, which is about 45 mins from vt. if i can be of any help at all, then please let me know.
But i really just wanted to say hi, and to agree that this looks like it may be one of the better forums, and that you were right.
Looking at your name, have you been to some of the great thracian tombs around Bulgaria? It is an amazing place isn't it, and i have only had the chance to see a few, but i was very impressed, with them.
