Hi All,

So here I am, another newcomer in Accra, Ghana, from India.

I have read so many posts and blogs for travel to Accra, but I could not get any information about safety concerns in Accra. I have heard that Africa is compartively not a safe place.

As I am planning to travel with my wife, will appreciate if someone can provide safety related details specially if the ladies staying alone in home.

I don't know what you have heard about Ghana but I would say it is a relatively safe place. Yes there is crime but it is not on the scale of other places. I expect you will be living in a good area and will have some form of security so your wife will be OK in the house and it is also safe to move around Accra if you take the normal precautions when you are in large crowded places
