Hi every1,

I'm going to lease a house in district 1, HCMC.  Does any1 know about property insurance?  I'm trying to get an allowance for the rental then find the house myself because nothing's happened if I'd leave it to HR...but for the company to approve this I have to obviously present them with the leasing contract.  Clearly they wouldn't want to have to deal with legal mess if any accident, brakage or in case of fire for us.

Can some1 please help?

Most every landlord I have rented from has had property (building) insurance coverage. These usually cover any included furnishings and appliances.

Remember, when renting a property landlords typically want the equivalent of two months rent as a security deposit on which they pay zero interest.

Remember also, except in the case of unregistered condominium projects, that no one other than EVN can legally sell you electricity other than to include it in your rent, as an unmetered utility.

Finally, you must be invoiced in VN Dong and you can pay in VN Dong - it is the LAW!

Thank you for your quick respond on my question.

So, does the insurance cover the house incase of fire? Well I mean would they pay for the house to be rebuilt?

Cheers.

Everything the owner possesses to the extent he wishes to pay for.

Your risk is for what you own.
