Hi Lelepham,

I assume this is your first time to Singapore. If you are not employed in Singapore, you can come to Singapore on social visit (no visa needed) up to one month and you must get out if your application for another month extension is not approved. You are not allowed to work on social visit. On arrival, the custom may check if you have local sponsor (husband, friends etc) or enough money to stay in Singapore for a month. if not, they have the right to ask you to go back to Vietnam. The rule is you must have at least USD1,500 in your possession or a credit card.

If you are here to sing, the proper way is that you need an employer, (Pub, Hotel, NightClub, KTV, Bar etc) to sponsor you. The sponsor need to pay SGD$5,000 as guarantee to bring you in. Thereafter you need a work permit to work here.

There was a case recently when the sponsor bring in 3 China singers and they run away to work as hookers after the sponsor settle everything for them. There were eventually tracked downed and sent back to China.

On the other hand, some of these sponsors are actually pimps and cheat your money to come to Singapore. So please be careful who you trust with your money, even in Singapore.

Send me a Private Message if you need more information.

Hi Lelepham, there are plenty of things to do in Singapore. I have been there about 7 times. My advice is to observe the road laws. Do not cross agains lights or J walk. Also there are some things that you can't take into Singapore like Chewing gum for example. Also you can find many of the attractions on the internet -singapore.com/attractions/ . Some of the beaches are very nice too. With hotels you can get information at any of the travel agents here in HCMC, or again online. You can see locations and prices with pictures of rooms. http://www.isango.com/singapore-tours/s … wodOzkhIQ. I hope this helps you. Enjoy your trip. I hope you have a great time there.

No problem, you mentioned you want to come here and "sing" so I thought you want to work in Singapore !

In this case, you are welcome to come anytime !

Ping me if you need help.

@Fordy7 - I like the comments about the Road Law. Singaporean are so used to this law that it become so scary and difficult for me to try crossing a road in HCMC! It's really a cultural shock for me. Only after visiting this city so many times that I become a bit more daring each time or be a bit smarter by tagging along beside the locals!

Lelepham - Vietnam is part of ASEAN. No Visa needed.
