Hair salon

Post new topic

Nat187

Hi guys!
would you recommend a hair salon, the one you are really happy with.
I am blond and I have hard times to find the master, who will know how to deal with my hair.  ((( every time I walk out of the salon - I feel frustrated.

Would appreciate your advises! Thanks!

Sydneygirl

There's a nice salon at the corner of Paseo de Roxas and Pasay Rd. I haven't tried it but my friend had good results. I just can't remember the name:)

Nat187

thanks!
please, let me know if you'll remember the name

Hej,

I used to live in Manila. Look for Basement Salon in the Shangri-la Mall along Shaw Blvd, Mandaluyong City. The head is I think a Swede, so must be familiar with blondes ;).

Good luck and I hope you will not be disappointed.

I think Sydneygirl is refering to Frank Provost.  There's also one available at Rockwell Power Plant Mall.

My family and I are moving to Manila in June 2012, I am already thinking about where will I find the right hair salon for me ( I am blond). Let me know please if you did take the advice and try the Basement Salon or the other one. Thank you.

Hello, we are moving to Philippines soon and İ would like to know what the situation in Philippines is in  terms of beauty salons? İs it possible to get a proper manicur and pedicur, facialist?thanks

suzywong

@Nat187 you might want to try Basement Salon, Franck Provost, or Toni&Guy

@vic76 not a bad situation here on the salon front. You can try the ones I suggested to Nat187 for hair. They all do proper mani and pedi. Basement's also got a tanning bed if that might interest you. There are also just nail salons. For facialist I would recommend the one I go to which is Murad. It's a US based derma that's got a branch here at Rustan's Makati.  And while we're at it on the girl things, for waxing you can try Strip at Serendra. Hope this helps :)

Nat187

tony and jackie or akira for me :)

For nat187: go to basement salon in Power plant mall and ask for free consultation with Freddie. He's well trained and experienced coloring blondes- since 1990! You won't be disappointed & you'll never leave frustrated again!! Cheers!!!

if you head over to resorts world manila, there is fab salon..

near magallanes village there is tony and jacky's.

normally around glorietta malls in ayala, there is a good range of hair salons or within high street mall in fort bonifacio.

im bald, but thankfully these recommendations are actually coming from the ladies in my family.  after all, i'm the one who has to get them there.

cheers

dhnindc

+1 on the Basement. Manfred has 3 other salons. He is from Germany, and has blond hair, well maybe has some touch-ups.

mikhailu

Try Juro salon. The stylist is an alumnus of Vidal Sassoon and the colorist was Loreal's former trainer in hair coloring. They're the priciest in Manila but you get what you pay for. Am sure they won't disappoint.

Natasha,
try the Tony and Guy beauty shop located in SM Aura in Fort. This is a well recognized brand all over the world and most of the top stylists are being educated by Antony Mascolo or his school representatives.
My wife was there before Christmas and looks gorgeous. Hair cut 950 peso.
