Hi All,

I am about to move to Tripoli for a new job, I have a question regarding the visa application, I believe the law has changed since August but the internet seems to be full of contradicting information.

It states I need a current bank statement, how long is a current statement. I opened a new account a month ago and have 2 wages paid into it, I closed my previous account down as it was compromised, in addition to this I have shredded all my previous statements and the bank have said that they cannot provide previous statements due to the account being closed.

I have to go to the Embassy in London soon and am worried about this bank statement issue.

Any advice will be gratefully accepted.

Regards
Claire

Just take the latest statement as it is. So long as it has your name on it, no wahala. I scored through all of the transactions when I did my visa and they didn't blink.

Brilliant, thankyou very much, I was getting extremely worried that it would be a big sticking point only having 1 months worth of statements.
