Hello

I've bene offered a job in Brussels at about 3500 eur gross. Is it 1750/month?

Some questions:

Is it enough to live fairly?
Where should I find a flat to rent, in a nice zone with good public transports? How much should it be?
Is there any website for finding a flat? Maybe also something not in Brussels central but in a nice area not very far from the city (should work in Luxembourg and public transport fully refunded)

Thanks for your help
Simone

Hello Simone.

Welcome to Expat.com! :)

I invite you to read this thread on Cost of living in Brussels.

Concerning the rent, you can post an advert in the Housing in Brussels section. It could help.

Thank you,
Aurélie

Net salary depends on personal circumstances - if you have 5 children, you'll pay no tax on 3.5k, if you have a non working spouse, you'll pay less tax than if you have no dependents.

Our family live on less than what your gross is, several children.

Nearly all rental property in Brussels appears on www.immoweb.be. Those properties which are not on there, you are not going to be able to do any research on until you come to Brussels, a small minority of properties are not on Immoweb and have adverts posted on their doors or on windows.
