I`m planning to get married with my Dutch boyfriend before i end my contract in August. Most of the people i talked to about this situation, it might take 3-6mos for the whole process to be done- if lucky, 3mos will be the target.

I want to know a step by step process for this procedure.
-I am a FILIPINO Aupair currently in Belgium
-Bf is working part-time in Holland while finishing his studies.

What do we need to HAVE and DO to start the procedure and succeed?

ALL THE BEST!

Hi Alesna,

congratulations on your getting married! Where are you planning to get married? If you know, it's a good idea to contact the closest registrar's office  and ask them what you will need. Most likely, you will need documents like your births certificates (both), a document stating that neither of you is married (possibly from all the countries you've been living), copies of your identity cards/passports, and in your case you might need a residence permit/visa. However, your boyfriend and you might need different documents, and it also depends on where do you plan to get married. However, for us, even though we needed documents from 3 different countries, we could organize the wedding in 3 months- including the formalities, so take heart!
