Hey, thanks for the prompt and kind reply.  I am British Chinese who used to live in the UK. And an old story that has been told a million times---the relocation for love:)

There's a big contrast since I've never lived in the countryside and have always been a city girl. Now it seems a bit hard to get to anywhere or meet up with new people. I am not complaining since where I live is gorgeous: the forest, the lake the farm are all picturesque...

Welcome to Norway! Which part do you live in? If you like cities, Norway isn't perhaps the best place to be, given that it only has one. The countryside if very beautiful though, which is some kind of compensation at least. I hope you will be very happy with your new life.

Hey David, I live in Ostfold. It is in the countryside. I do love outdoors and the beautiful landscapes, but I think it will take me a while to get use to a new life style....I'm sure I will be OK :)

What about you?Whereabouts in Scotland you come from?

There are more rural areas than Østfold, so that's not too bad. It should be a nice place to live, and not too far to travel to get to a city.

I live in Oslo at the moment, although I used to live in Haugesund on the west coast. I definitely prefer living in the city. I like to have lots of people around and lots of things going on. It takes time to get used to living in Norway, but it's a nice place to live. I'm from a place near Stirling in Scotland.
