Do Italian companies hire English speakers?

Hi,

Im just wondering if i can get a good job in Milan without knowing the language well.

Are there any companies who hire English speakers for admin work ect... or are there any british companies in Milan i can apply to?

i would appriciate any info you can give me.

Also i will start off as an English freelance teacher, does anyone know of a good English school i can apply to who offer full time/part time hours... because free lance will not pay enough for sure....

Thanks xxx

Hello,

Yes, I think you can but I don't know that it will be easy.

I was very lucky - one of the companies at which I was teaching offered me a job even though I didn't speak Italian very much (it's an Italian company).

So, my advice is to get teaching and networking and you might be lucky.

Thank you :)

I managed to, but I guess it depends on the profession. If your an English teacher you could probably find something a lot easier.

the good news is Lucy, I managed to get my codice fiscale ( tax code,right to work I guess) and it was stupidly easy :) all you need is your passport and address x

@jschaufeld

can apply for the tax code before i go to Milan or do i have to be in Milan?

Your post makes no sense.

You are posing on an inactive thread and completely off-topic. It has nothing to do with "Do Italian companies hire English speakers?"
