Post new topic

Hi All,
I have a doubt. one of my relation is working in Riyadh,Saudi. He joined before 2 months only. but, because of some personal reason he cant continue there. So, is it possible to return to India without any problem? His notice period is 1 month. Can you please tell me what is the procedure for the same. or, is it possible to return early in case of medical emergency. then, what will be the consequence?

Please help me. It will be grateful for him in this time as he is confused because of this.

Thanks in advance.

He can ask the employer for arrangments to send him back. But before that have a look at the 'early termination' clause of the contract he signed with the employer. Probably they'll ask him to pay for the expenditures they've made on him (visa charges+air ticket etc). The contract will elucidate better.

The above information provided seems correct.

Though it is wrong, I am just asking what happens if he leaves the country for emergency without having informing the company?

As a common practice, employees' passports stay with the employers. So leaving the country without their consent is usually not possible. Iqama holders have to get a special visa processed through their employers to leave the country for any purpose.

he wont be allowed to work in Saudi for two years except if he get a Letter of No Objection (LONO) from his employer in SA
