I should have stated in my original post that I have been lurking on the forum for some time already and have done various searches. So far the only three compounds that have received any specific mention are Eurovillage, oasis village and canary village.

I have checked the webpages for these and they seem ok, but the websites don't offer very much in terms of specific info. I was hoping to get some comments from people who have lived or who are currently staying in one of these and other compounds.

Even on the forum, the info I have found is very spotty and the classified section contains almost exclusively "wanted" adds...

Hi Mark,

The Eastern region isn't as active on the EB as we'd like so I understand your dilemma.  Did you check the guide (rectangular box to the left)?  I know I posed there but about Riyadh. Maybe there's more.

I have checked the guide. No info on Dammam though.

It seems the eastern region is not very active in general! I found another website dedicated to compound living and they also didn't have any compounds in Dammam or Khobar. Guess I'll have to rely on my agent to find something nice.
