How to entertain your child in Malta

Hi All!

I will be a stay-at-home Mother when I come over in June/July and my husband will be working out of the country a lot, leaving me with a lot of time on my hands to entertain my 2 year old daughter!

I just wondered what other Mothers do during the day and do they find plenty to do on the Island with their child/children? I would also imagine it would depend on the time of year as to what is available.

I will be very keen to meet up with any other Mothers and their kiddies. Thanks for your valuable info!

Hello Dana,
We moved over last may and I had the same problem but soon I realied that private childcentres were open in summer and at reasonable prices , so I decided to heve my 2 boys 4 mornings a week in a private nursery and after afternoon nap beach and playground . Now in winter teperature is still fab so we havnt changed our routine much . Malta is great for outdoors activities but on a rainy day we have found plenty of indoor playaereas as well take a look at kidsmalta you will find all the places there.
Good luck and keep in touch

Thanks Giuseppina.

It sounds like a lovely lifestyle. My main concern is that my little one doesn't settle in a new nursery environment. But defo need to use such a facility as 24/7 with a 2 year old would be very hard work on my own!

Looking forward to coming over in Feb to check everything out. We also need to look at where to live. Lots to arrange! X

you'll be fine for sure, we tried two nurseries out before deciding for the one they'r in now...and we 've never looked back...i also noticed that they'r much more relaxed in malta then they used to be in ireland, i think its the fresh air combined with outdoor activities and the sun and the beach of course ;)
I'm sure you'll have no problems regarding to entertainment ;)
Feel free to ask if you need anything
