Hi I am in full time dance training here in Ireland and planning on moving to Goiania, Brazil at the beginning of 2014! I would like to do an intensive Portuguese course once I get there.. I only have a small bit at the moment! Then maybe teach English until I get settled. I would like to continue dancing and then hopefully teach dance and fitness classes there or open my own performance school. If anyone has any information or contacts or ANYTHING that you think I would benefit from, please let me know. I need to research the dance world in Goiania and surrounding cities and would appreciate any help at all!

Hello Bailarina.

Nice to hear you are from Ireland. My niece loves your country and that wonderful folk dance.

I have a friend who is a classic ballerina and teaches at a training center nearby the building I live in.

You will find good contacts at:
http://quasarciadedanca.blogspot.com (the dancing center near my home);
http://valbenebezerra.blogspot.com (tells about Taciana my friend and has more things and potential contacts);
http://www.fef.ufg.br/ (physical education college at the local branch of the federal university);
http://www.eseffego.ueg.br/instituicao.php (physical education college at our state university).

You will notice that we oddly have a space problem inside the city despite the size of our country... :) You will also find that the distances are weirdly big.

I suggest you contact a lot of people so you will have more things to do here. If you are Christian, maybe you'd like to contact and help the dance group at my church.

All the best and success!
Pedro.

Oi Pedro, Muito Obrigada! That's very helpful, I will definitely look into those contacts! I am christian and will look into the dance group at your church!

Thank you, All the best!
