Are there like limitation in a single room occupancy? What I mean is, if there is an available room for rent for 3,000kr and me&my friend will occupy it so that we can spend 1,500 each/month for the rent. Would that be okay? Are there some kind of rules on that? Like a room can only be occupied by a single person or something like that.

Thanks!

Hey, this will be specified in your rent contract. The landlord is able to specify whether the room or apartment is for one / two or more persons. He may not specify anything and then you are free to do what you want. Sub-renting is not allowed in Norway.

Nice! :) I have no plans in doing sub-renting.. It's just that me and my friend would want to keep our expenses to a minimum until we get a job. We don't mind renting one room and share stuffs.

Thank you so much for that info AuNordDuMonde.. Now we know that it would be based on the contract. :D
