Maybe a stupid question but why do you need Syrian documents legalised to the Belgium embassy in Amman?
Is this not possible in the Netherlands for example?
And why can not the Syrian embassy in Belgium send this for you to the Belgium embassy in Amman?
Or go to the court in Belgium to translate it by an certificate translator and legalised trough the Syrian embassy?

Ze_ze

It's not a stupid question, but i wish it was that easy!
Because of the war in Syria the Belgian embassy in Syria is moved to Amman.
I already asked if i can send it to there but they said its not possible because i have to pay 15 euros for each documents and the Belgian embassy in Amman said that if i send it i have to put money in the envelope and they said also that if i do that there is a risk that they will take the money out the envelope.

The problem is without the legalization by the embassy there in Amman the documents are not useful here in Belgium. They have to look of the documents are real.

After they legalized it then i have to translate it by a certificate translator.

It's for my marriage here in Belgium and the Belgian law about marriage is very difficult because in there a lot of people who marry for papers. they marry for 3 years and then divorce. Thats way the made it so difficult.

Hi Ze_ze,

I did some google work for you and I found out that the Syrian embassy is working also for the Netherlands.
Because of the situation in Syria they closed it.
I don't know if you are able to read in Dutch but you can check this out:

Good luck!

Ze_ze

Yes I speak fluently Dutch :)
The website that you send me is the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Belgium. On the website they just give information about legalization.

i have called them some months ago and they said to me what I already said to you.

But still thank you for giving me this information.

Thank you :)

Ik zie net op jouw profiel dat je ook nederlands kan, als ik het eerder wist had ik wel in het nederlands geschreven :D

Harmonie

@Ze_ze, could you please post in English on this Anglophone forum?

Thanks,
Harmonie

I'm back again: I can't believe that they say that you have actually go to Jordan for the legalisation in your case.
Are you sure there is no other way for you?

If it is not, I want to help you and go for you to the Belgium embassy here. Here is also a Syrian embassy...

Ze_ze

Okee :)

Ze_ze

Welcome back!

They really said that. I think i'm sure because i called them and i told them that i can't go there and that i don't have any family in jordan. But still they said that i have to legalize it there.

If you could help me then it will do a lot to me because the documents are valid for only 6 months. I'll send you a private message.
