Hello all, I am considering a move to Abu Dhabi. Can anyone give me any real figures on how much does it cost to lease/rent/buy a car. Also how much would estimate you pay for utilities and phone. In AED or US dollars, thanks.

Cars can cost from AED 50K up to anything, depending on the make, model and options. Overall the price of cars are cheaper here compared to many other countries. Expect to spend about AED 1000 pm for utilities,TV, internet and phone.

thank you mjrv, that is the information I am looking for. Do you use a house phone and cell phone? if so is the cell phone bill expensive?

cell bill is around 100-200 aed for normal use, now that depends as usual on the usage. I pay around that value.
